Heys welcome Darwen to Adie Moran Park on Saturday (3.00pm)
After the high excitement of the thrilling draw at Lower Breck, Heys have been left frustrated by successive postponements.
Manager Matt Barnes, however, will be looking for his side to maintain the enthusiasm and performance levels shown against the League Leaders which he described as being up with the best he had seen at this level of football.
Heys find themselves in a strange position at present. Eleventh in the table, they are eight points off the promotion spots and seven above the relegation position.
All thoughts are focused though on an upwards trajectory and this game is a key one in achieving that ambition. A victory would put Heys firmly in the mix.
Darwen presently sit tenth in the table, a point better off than Heys but having played three games more. The visitors go into the game as one of the form teams in the League with seven wins in their last nine games in which Leon Creech and Nyle Ellis have been prolific. It a was a double strike by Creech that gave Darwen a 2-1 win over Heys at Christmas.
All told this is the third meeting of the teams this season with Heys having won the Macron Cup clash between the teams, 2-1, in November.
Another tight encounter looks on the cards with both teams looking to keep in the promotion hunt.
