Taberner saves late penalty as Johnson strike sinks leaders

Heys defeated League Leaders City of Liverpool in dramatic fashion at Adie Moran Park today.

In an absorbing game of few real chances a Shaun Johnson goal in the 55th minute proved to be the winner.

Johnson, headed home from close range after an Adam Tse header had come off the crossbar.

However, the game ended in dramatic fashion when in the 90th minute the visitors were awarded a penalty.

From the spot kick though, Heys 'keeper Danny Taberner pulled off a great save to deny Daley Woods the equaliser and give Jon Lyons side victory in what had been a titanic battle.
