Jon Lyons today confirmed the signing of SEVEN new players as his summer revamp of the Heys squad began to take shape.
After going on record as saying he thought his side had underachieved last season the Heys boss has been busy recruiting to strengthen his squad for the forthcoming campaign.
The new faces are:
Lee Bruce - Striker from Walshaw
Jon Stephenson - Striker from Walshaw
John Blackley - Centre Half from Walshaw
Chris Quirke - Winger from Eagle Sports (Cheshire League)
Craig Thomas - Full Back from Elton Vale
Dalton McLaughlin - Midfielder from AFC Monton
Max White - Midfielder from AFC Monton
In making the signings Lyons said " I am very pleased and excited for the new season with our new additions to the squad. This is a massive plus for us and to add them to our existing squad is brilliant after a disappointing finish to last season"
Lyons went on to say ""I am really excited to work with the new lads. Training has gone very well and I can't wait to get started in our 1st friendly at Tottington next Saturday"
The Heys manager has not finished yet either saying "I hope to complete another 3 or 4 significant signings in the next week or so. I am looking for a strong campaign and seeing us challenging for honours".
