After their FA Vase win on Saturday, Heys made a winning return to League action on Tuesday night with a hard earned 1-0 win over Euxton Villa at Adie Moran Park.

The game was decided by a 7th minute goal from Louie Hutchinson. The young left back scored with a beautifully struck free kick, from just outside the penalty box, in to the top corner following a foul on Bryson Appleton.

Heys enjoyed the better of the opening quarter with Louis Holt going close with a header but Euxton grew into the game as the half progressed.

The second half saw the visitors enjoying more possession than previously although Heys were always a threat but weren’t able to find a second goal.

It made for a nervous finale as Euxton looked for an equaliser but Heys held firm to secure a fourth successive win.
