Heys slumped to a 3-0 defeat at League leaders Droylsden this afternoon.
Ryan Hutchinson's side made the worst possible start, falling behind after just two minutes when Nellson Van scored from close range. Things got worse in the ninth minute when the hosts added a second when Jordan Barnett scored from a free kick.
Heys did come into it and created a couple of chances but Droylsden were always a threat and only a fine save, one on one, from Kyle Haslam prevented a third goal on the half hour.
The second half saw Heys enjoy good possession but without really theatening before the home side were reduced to ten men on the hour when Jordan Barnett was dismissed.
However, any hopes of a comeback were firmly dashed in the 74th minute when a free kick cannoned off Heys David Badrock and into the net to make it 3-0.
Richardson had a couple of chances late on for Heys but it was not to be their day.
