After the opening day loss at Burscough, Heys have recorded back-to-back 1-1 draws with Barnoldswick Town and Abbey Hey to leave then 13th in the fledgling Premier Division table. It has been an indifferent start to the season with patchy performances and missed opportunities in games thus far and it is something Management and players are eager to put right.

It is only early days with August always particularly tricky with holidays disrupting availability and it is generally not until September that you get a clearer picture of how the competition is shaping. Equally though, it is the same for all sides so any points that can be gained in these early weeks can prove vital in the long term and Heys will be looking to kick start their season.

Glossop themselves have made a patchy start with exits from the FA Cup and FA Vase. However, they come into the game above Heys in the table having collected four points from two games played, both at home. A 2-0 win over Euxton Villa was then followed by a goalless draw with FC Isle of Man.

The game will see Heys summer signing Abdul Djalo come up against his former club. Abdul was a key figure in Glossop’s revival last season when they overcame a slow start to finish fourteenth. A familiar face will be lining up for Glossop as one of the heroes of our “great escape” season, Max Bardsley-Rowe, who scored the decisive penalty in the match that kept us up against Irlam, returns to Adie Moran Park.

Head-to-Head, Heys and Glossop have met six times in the Counties and its honours even with three wins a piece.

Licensed bar in the clubhouse serving hot and cold drinks, hot and cold food/snacks and equipped with televisions and seating for around sixty people. Gents and Ladies WC's are also located in the clubhouse. An additional serving hatch is available adjacent to the Seated Stand.

We have a covered standing area for approx 150 people and covered seating for 100.

There's free on-site parking for around 150 cars on the front and down the length of the motorway side of the ground. Please do not park on Sandgate Road or surrounding streets.

Pyrotechnics are banned. This includes Flares, Fireworks and Smoke Bombs. Anyone carrying pyrotechnics will be subject to a Football Banning order.

Supporters are also reminded that is an offence to enter the Playing Area and doing so can result in a Banning order.[

The Club does not allow Dogs into the ground. The only exception to this rule is for Disability Support Dogs.

Please note out of consideration to our neighbours Drums and other Musical Instruments are banned from the ground.

Other than the match itself no ball games are allowed in the ground. Please do not bring your own Footballs.

Directions: M60 to junction 17 head towards Whitefield, take first right into Clyde Avenue and continue over the traffic lights onto Thatch Leach Lane, turn right at the Frigate Public House, go over the motorway bridge, the ground is on the left.

PLEASE NOTE: Work has commenced on the Simister Island project at junction 18 of the M60. There will be roadworks along the stretch of motorway adjacent to our ground between Junction 17 and Junction 18. Please be mindful of possible delays if visiting the ground or similarly if your trip to other clubs in the area involves travelling through this area.
