Heys home fixture with Stockport Town today was abandoned after 70 minutes due to heavy rain.
There were no issues at all prior to the match but shortly before kick off the rain started to fall. The first half passed with no real issues but the rain intensified at half time and early in the second half during which Heys took the lead through Luke Mann in the 49th minute.
In the 70th minute, the referee called time on proceedings when the ball stuck in play and with large amounts of water gathering on the surface.
The game is now pending review from the League but it is likely it will have to be replayed and we will update accordingly.
