Heys return to League action on Tuesday night as they host Pilkington at Adie Moran Park (7.45pm)
Although their seven match unbeaten run came to an end in the Macron Cup on Saturday, Heys remain unbeaten in the League in their last five games where they have amassed thirteen points. It's a run that has moved them up to fifteenth in the table with seventeen points from twelve games. They now have games in hand on all the teams above them, so if they can maintain that run it provides the chance to break into the top half of the table.
Pilkington occupy one of those places, presently sittng eighth with twenty three points from sixteen games. Like Heys, they spent much of last season looking to avoid relegation, but they have made a start that suggests that won't be the case this time around.
A 2-0 home win over Glossop on Saturday ended a three match losing run and their form has been up and down. They are the joint second highest scorers in the division but conversely have the second worst defensive record. From beating West Didsbury & Chorlton and Irlam in their opening two games to losing 6-1 at home to South Liverpool they have been unpredictable but posesses real firepower in the likes of Ryan Beigan and Kyle Robinson Murray.
An interesting evening awaits.
