Heys head to Glossop North End tomorrow night in the NW Counties Premier Division (7.45pm) seeking their third successive League win.
After failing to win any of their first seven matches, despite some good performances, their last two fixtures have brought their reward. They left it late to record their victory over West Didsbury but there were no such nerves with Saturday’s 3-0 win over South Liverpool, with Connor Martin’s hat-trick capping an all-impressive team performance.
The win lifted Heys up to 16th, with ten points from nine games, six points off the bottom two, their best position for over a year.
It’s now a case of building on that but it will be far from easy. The trip to Glossop is never easy, particularly on a midweek night, and in the present weather conditions.
The hosts come into the game in 19th position with eight points from nine games, having ended a five-match losing run with a 2-1 win at Litherland Remyca.
Dylan Fitzgearld was on the scoresheet for Glossop who also have two other former Heys players in Gabriel Mooney-Munoz and Harry Allen in their ranks.
