Heys host their first Saturday home game of the season tomorrow when they welcome Cheadle Town to Adie Moran Park (3pm).
After last Monday's thrilling comeback draw at Barnoldswick they will be hoping to hit the ground running as they seek their first League win of the season.
Heys have shown plenty of promise in their performances so far this season but have not as yet been able to translate that into three points and they go into the game second from bottom with three points, from five games, all of which have been gained from draws on the road. Their two home games so far have both brought 2-0 defeats to Padiham and Burscough.
On the Form table, based on the last six games, Heys come into the game in a higher position than their opponents but it is Cheadle who sit higher in the League table, being in 13th place with seven points from six games. They opened the season with a 2-0 home win over Barnoldswick before losing 2-1 at Ramsbottom. Four points from home games against AFC Liverpool (2-1) and City of Liverpool (2-2) followed before 2-1 losses to Stockport Town (Away) and Irlam at home. With an FA Cup defeat at Witton Abion in between it means Cheadle have lost four of their last, hence the Form Table positions.
However, its what happens tomorrow that counts and for Heys the challenge will be to get that first win on the board against a talented Cheadle side.
