Saturday’s last gasp 1-0 win over Ashton Athletic saw Heys finish the day in sixth position with 21 points from ten games played. It also gave them a four point cushion on seventh placed Padiham, who have also played a game more.

Lee O’Brien and James Hampson will now be looking for their side to make inroads on the teams above them in the table. However, they will also doubtless be looking for a much improved performance from Saturday. A poor first half showing gave way to a better second half and ultimately victory over bottom placed Ashton in a match that showed the competitive nature of this division and the narrow margins that exist.

In many ways the visit of Winsford represents an identical challenge to Saturday. The Cheshire side are presently second from the bottom with four points from eleven games. After an eleventh placed finish last season it’s been a disappointing start to the season for Lee Duckworth’s side.

However, they can also point to a tough fixture list that has seen them face the top five sides and indeed Heys and Padiham are the only teams out of the top nine they have not played as yet.

Their points thus far have come from a 1-1 draw at home to Northwich Victoria and an impressive 2-1 away win at AFC Liverpool.

That result alone shows the unpredictable nature of this League and should act as a warning sign to Heys that they cannot afford to start as they did at the weekend if they are to maintain their winning run.

We have a covered standing area for approx 150 people and covered seating for 100.

There's free on-site parking for around 150 cars on the front and down the length of the motorway side of the ground. Car park Stwerards will guide you to a space. Please do not park on Sandgate Road or surrounding streets.

Pyrotechnics are banned. This includes Flares, Fireworks and Smoke Bombs. Anyone carrying pyrotechnics will be subject to a Football Banning order.

Supporters are also reminded that is an offence to enter the Playing Area and doing so can result in a Banning order.

The Club does not allow Dogs into the ground. The only exception to this rule is for Disability Support Dogs.

Please note out of consideration to our neighbours Drums and other Musical Instruments are banned from the ground. Visiting supporters are asked to also refrain from placing flags on the Clubhouse / Seated stand side of the ground.
