Heys staged a late rally to come from behind and defeat Hyde United at Adie Moran Park tonight, in their latest pre-season friendly.
In a hard fought contest all the goals came in the second half. The opening forty five minutes saw few opportunities with Toby Green (pictured) and Bryson Appleton providing the main threat for Heys whose keeper Kyle Haslam pulled off a good save, tipping a shot over the bar.
Hyde came out the stronger after the break and went ahead in the 50th minute when Will Hall headed home from a corner.
As the half progressed though it was Heys who gained the momentum and two minutes from time they levelled as a ball through the middle saw a trialist go through to fire past keeper.
Seizing the initiative, Heys late rally paid dividends in the third minute of added time when Green, a Summer signing from Stockport Town, rifled home the winner from just inside the box.
Next up for Heys is a trip to Northallerton on Saturday.
