Heys head to 1874 Northwich on Saturday in the Isuzu FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round (3pm).
Their hosts play in the Midland League Premier Division where they sit sixth in the table with four points from three games. They opened the season with a 4-0 FA Cup defeat at Bottle but bounced back with an emphatic 6-0 win at Romulus in their opening League game. A 1-1 home draw with Hanley Town was then followed by a 4-1 loss at Winsford United last weekend.
Heys have had a free week after their 2-0 loss at Atherton Collieries in the FA Cup last Friday. Their only win so far this season came at Wythenshawe Town in the FA Cup, whilst being without a win in the League with two points from four games, three of which have been against the current top three sides.
The two teams have met before in the Vase meeting at the same stage in 2019 when a Justin Pickering goal gave Heys a 1-0 win at Adie Moran Park.
The winners of tomorrow's tie will be away to either Abbey Hey or Doncaster City in the 2nd Qualifying Round on 23rd September.
Prize money for the tie is:
