The clubs need no introductions having faced each other numerous times over the years in the Manchester League and more recently in the NW Counties League.

Town were promoted to the Northern Premier League two seasons ago before finishing in a relegation position last season in Division One West. However, their fourth bottom place earned them a reprieve when the Club Allocations were announced in May.

The summer has seen an overhaul however, not least with the appointment of Chris Willcock as Manager, who has had success at clubs like Lancaster City and Glossop North End whom he took to Wembley in the FA Vase.

This will be Town's first game of the season, whilst Heys enter the match with two League games under their belts , the 1-1 draw at Euxton last Saturday and the midwek loss to Padiham.

If the scores are level at 90 minutes on Saturday, the tie will go to a replay, here at Adie Moran Park, on Tuesday 5th August 7.45pm.

Prize Money for the tie will be Winners £1,1125, Losers £375.

The winners of the tie will be away to Atherton Collieries of the Northern Premier League Division West in the Preliminary Round on 16th August.
