Our young full back Saidkhon Khamidov has been celebrating this week after playing his part in winning the Central Asian Football Federation Under 20’s Championship with Uzbekistan.

The five team tournament was held between the 19th May and 29th May in Tajikistan. Played on a group basis the other entrants were the hosts, Afghanistan, Iran and Turkmenistan.

On completion of the group. Uzbekistan came out on top, proving the only unbeaten side in the competition, with their three wins and a draw seeing them pip Iran to the crown by one point.
