Heys will kick off their pre-season campaign on 1st July with a home game against Ashville.
The visit of the NW Counties Division One South side kicks off a six-game programme of matches ahead of the new League season which is set to begin on Saturday 26th July. Ashville joined the NW Counties League three seasons ago and have steadily improved their position over that time period finishing 15th, 12th and then seventh last season.
Heys then face familiar pre-season opposition in Atherton Collieries at Adie Moran Park on Saturday 5th July. It will be the third season in a row that Colls, who play in the Northern Premier League Division West, have visited Prestwich.
NW Counties First Division North side Thornton Cleveleys are Heys next opponents on 8th July, in what will be the first meeting of any kind between the sides. Cleveleys finished 14th last season in their debut season in the Counties.
Heys hit the road for their next friendly on Saturday 12th July when they make the trip to the North East to play Seaton Carew. The Hartlepool, seaside based, side play in the Wearside League Premier Division where they finished eleventh in the season just ended. Travel details with regards this fixture will be announced in due course.
Returning to Adie Moran Park, Heys host FC United of Manchester on Tuesday 15th July. The Northern Premier League side came 15th last season and will be making their second ever visit to Prestwich. The last time was in July 2015 where a last gasp Martin Love goal have Heys a 1-0 win ahead of their treble winning campaign which took them into the NW Counties League.
The final warm up game will now see Heys travel to Old Stone Alleynians of the Midland Premier League on 19th July. Our game with Holywell Town has had to be cancelled as their season will now start a week earlier than thought.
