George has of course been with Heys for much longer, making 125 appearances and scoring 20 goals in a five year period. He has taken up a player-manager role at Heywood St. James and scored in their first win of the season, a week last Saturday, 5-3 at Govan.

John, joined the club at the start of last season from Walshaw and made 35 appearances for the club scoring twice. He also scored the decisive penalty in the Gilgryst Cup semi-final penalty shoot-out win at Stockport Georgians last season. He has joined Turton.

The events of last season mean both will remain a part of Heys folklore and we thank them both for their contributions to the club and wish them well for the future.
