A 79th minute penalty from Louis Holt gave Heys a remarkable tenth successive win as they defeated Chadderton 1-0 at Adie Moran Park tonight.
Infront of a crowd of 300 the two sides, both with play off hopes, fought out an intense contest. Heys had the better of the first period whilst Chadderton were livelier after the break.
However, with eleven minutes to go, the decisive moment came. Bryson Appleton was upended as he broke into the box and from the spot kick up stepped Holt to slot home for his 18th goal of the season.
The win, as well being Heys tenth in a row, also saw them register a sixth consecutive clean sheet and they have only conceded two in that run.
