Heys will be away to Charnock Richard in the Isuzu FA Vase 1st Round proper on Saturday 10th October.

After reaching the Third Round last season, Heys were given a bye in this seasons two qualifying rounds and will now make the trip up the M61 to face their NW Counties Premier Division rivals. Charnock have come through both qualifying rounds with away wins at Appleby Frodingham and Trafford. They won both matches 4-3 on penalties after the games had ended 1-1.

Heys and Charnock have met previously in the Vase back in 2019-20 when Charnock won 3-2 at Adie Moran Park in a 2nd Qualifying Round tie. Shelton Payne scored both Heys goals whilst Carl Grimshaw netted a hat-trick for Charnock. This year’s match will be the second meeting of the season between the clubs after last month’s 1-1 League draw at Adie Moran Park.

Prize money for this round is Winners £825, Losers £250.

As a result of this game our scheduled home League match with Euxton Villa on 10th October is now cancelled and a new date will be arranged.
