
Heys will travel to Runcorn Town in the Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup.
After last weekend’s 2-0 win at Handsworth, Ryan Hutchinson’s side were made to wait for their next opponents after Runcorn and Dearne & District drew 2-2 on Merseyside. However, on Tuesday night, it was Runcorn who prevailed in the replay, winning 4-1 on penalties after a goalless draw. The match will be played on Saturday 22nd August, 3pm.
Runcorn stormed to the NW Counties League Division One South title last season, finishing fifteen points clear at the top with an impressive 89 points haul, dropping only thirteen points all season. They were placed in the Midlands League Premier Division this season and top the table after two games, with maximum points gained from a 4-2 home win over Lye Town and a 7-0 away win at West Didsbury & Chorlton.
Meanwhile, in the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy, Heys have been given a bye in the 1st Round.
Twenty-three teams have entered this season’s competition with the opening round taking place in the week commencing 14th September. Heys will enter in the second round with ties to take place from week commencing 16th November.

Heys Under 21’s have entered the Manchester FA Sunday Amateur Cup. They have been drawn at home to Chadderton FC Wellbeing in the Preliminary Round on Sunday 13th September
