Heys bosses Lee O’Brien and James Hampson will be hoping for improved weather conditions as they head into a run of three consecutive away games starting at Litherland Remyca on Saturday (3pm).

It will be the fourth time the sides have met this season after two meetings in the FA Cup in which Heys came out on top in a 4-3 replay win on Merseyside after a 1-1 draw at Adie Moran Park. When the sides met in the League at Prestwich in November, Heys edged a tight contest with a single Matt Davies goal deciding the outcome.

Litherland are presently fourth from bottom of the Premier Division table with twenty points from twenty-four games but will go into the game on the back of successive League wins having defeated Burscough 2-1 at home last weekend and triumphed 3-2 away to the Isle of Man in December.

Heys last outing was a 2-1 home win over Lower Breck on Boxing Day and their inactivity has seen them drop to seventh in the table, but they will still harbour hopes of a challenge for promotion with the sides above them having dropped points in the games that have been played in recent weeks.
