Heys busy December schedule of eight games in 25 days continues in the League tomorrow night (Monday) when they travel to Daisy Hill (7.45pm).
It’s a quick chance for Heys to avenge that heavy 3-0 home defeat of a fortnight ago, which remains their last league fixture.
With cup football on the back burner until February, Heys have a clear run of League fixtures ahead of them in which they can focus on getting amongst the promotion pack.
Although their season has been stop start they remain only five points off the top four and have played fewer games than most of the division. However, they know they must put together a run between now and the turn of the Year if they are to keep pace with the promotion chasing pack.
Daisy Hill are one of those teams in the hunt, sitting in 7th place, four points better off than Heys but having played three games more. They followed their sucess at Adie Moran Park with a 3-1 League win over Pilkington but came unstuck at Cleator Moor on Saturday losing 3-1 after having lost 6-1 at Emley in midweek in the Player Match.com Cup.
Both teams wil be looking to return to winning ways tomorrow night.
