Heys to the Lancashire FA ground in Leyland to face Northern Premier League Bamber Bridge in the semi-finals of the Lancashire Challenge Trophy. (7.45pm).

It looks a big ask on paper for Heys, but they have defied the odds throughout this competition with away victories in every round. NW Counties Premier Division Padiham were beaten in the opening round before a penalty shoot win at West Didsbury in round two.

Heys then really upset the form book in the quarter final with a 5-2 win at Northern Premier League Division One side Colne.

Bamber Bridge, who sit mid table in their division, will present another step up in class but Barnes is certain to have his players fired up with a place in the Final against Atherton Collieries or Lancaster City at stake.

Bridge have beaten Longridge (3-2), Nelson (6-3) and Wythenshawe Amateurs (5-1) to reach this point.
