Heys started their defence of the Kenyon Cup in style tonight with a 5-0 win at Breightmet.
New signings Jamie Baguley (pictured) and Chris Quirke made their mark both scoring twice with Darius Photiou adding the other.
It was Photiou who opened the scoring with a close range finish after 18 minutes but not before Rob Sadler had pulled off a fine double save to deny the hosts.
Heys held the upper hand but it was not until the final third of the game that they made their superiority count.
On the hour Chris Quirke swept home after good work by Photiou.
Five minutes later Baguley made it three as the former Monton striker finished with a trademark free kick from the edge of the area.
Another of Heys signings from Monton, Dalton McLaughlin then went on a strong run before setting up Quirke for his second in the 85th minute.
The scoring was completed in the last minute when McLaughlin and Lee Bruce combined to provide a tap in for Baguley to notch his second and Heys fifth.
