Reserves host Govan in the League

Heys turn their attention to the Macron Cup (League Cup) when they travel to Premier Division Congleton Town tomorrow (3pm).

After going out of the Lancashire Cup to Chorley on Wednesday night, Heys will be looking to avoid a second Cup reverse against higher grade opposition.

Congleton came 6th in the Premier Division last season and are presently 13th in the table with 14 points from ten games. After a slow start to the season, the Cheshire side have shown signs of finding their feet in recent weeks and go in to the game unbeaten in four, having scored seven goals in each of their last two games.

A 7-3 extra time home win over Bacup in the FA Vase last weekend was followed in midweek by a 7-2 away win at Cammell Laird.

Setting Wednesday aside, Heys themselves have been in good form with only one defeat in their last six League games and having scored 20 goals in their last four.

Manager Jon Lyons will wait on a couple of players who received knocks on Wednesday night but will have Erike Sousa, Liam Foster, Darius Photiou and Ash Reece, all absent on Wednesday, available.
