Saturday 1st November, Adie Moran Park, 2pm.

In a quick turn around in fixtures Heys welcome Wythenshawe Amateurs to Adie Moran Park on Saturday.

It’s only a fortnight since the sides met at Longley Lane with Heys recording a memorable 5-0 victory which ended the Ammies unbeaten start to the season.

Despite that setback Wythenshawe remain top of the table by four points and will be looking to at least maintain their lead when they arrive in Prestwich looking for revenge.

They have not had the chance as such to get that defeat out of their system as yet, having had no game last week, so Heys can expect two weeks of reflection and frustration to be unleashed on them on Saturday.

For their part, Heys too will have similar feelings. Last Saturday’s home defeat to Dukinfield pricked their bubble somewhat after that win at Wythenshawe, coming as it did on the back of the resounding five goal win at Elton Vale.

Indeed, the past few weeks have summed up Heys season in a nutshell. Capable of sublime brilliance but not able to deliver it on a consistent basis as yet. Chief amongst their problems is their home form, they have yet to collect a point in four outings at Adie Moran Park.

They go into Saturday, in effect in a similar position to that they faced when they visited Wythenshawe 14 days ago. A win is needed and at the very least defeat avoided, to keep hopes of challenging for leave honours truly alive.

A win on Saturday would go some way to keeping those hopes ticking over.

Admission is £2/£1
