Stephenson, Dunn and White move on

Jon Stephenson, Liam Dunn and Max White have left Heys ahead of the new season.

Stephenson(pictured), leaves after having played a significant role in winning all five trophies won by the club, having figured for both the 1st team and Reserves throughout the season. He scored four times in twelve appearances for the 1st team and scored eleven in fifteen games for the Reserves.

Liam Dunn departs after four seasons. He was one of a clutch of young players who burst onto the scene under Jon Lyons and his tough tackling saw him become a regular figure around the First team. He found senior opportunities harder to come by last season but was a key member in the reserves success not least when he stood in as goalkeeper in the semi-final and Final of the Open Trophy where he made key penalty saves.

Max White joined the club last summer from AFC Monton and made a big impression not least with his dead ball prowess. He played 32 games for Heys last season, scoring eight goals in the process.

Heys Manager Jon Lyons said" I would like to thank all three players for their contributions to our success last season.

"Jon and Liam figured for both the 1st team and Reserves and their hard work and attitude saw them both make key contributions"

"Max was a massive part of our winning the treble and will be missed, especially for his free kicks. "

"I would like to wish all three players all the best for the future".
