Manchester Football League Secretary Phil Platt makes an announcement regarding this weekend's fixtures.

Heys Reserves home game with Stockprt Georgians on Saturday has been cancelled, along with several other games by the League, due to the weather. League Secretary Phil Platt has made the following statement,

"Ladies and Gents,

With the current weather situation, snow and rain, with further spells forecast over the weekend, the Management Committee have made the following decision.

ALL games scheduled to be played on grass facilities this Saturday (16th December) will be POSTPONED.

Games scheduled to be played on all weather facilities, can go ahead as planned, but be mindful of weather etc.

Clubs can, if they wish, obtain an artificial pitch for their games, but the costs will have to be borne by the individual Club. There are no plans to introduce the winter initiative, as we did two seasons ago, at present.

There is sufficient flexibility in all the Divisions, to allow us to take this decision. If you decide to obtain an alternative venue, please inform the League, especially the Media Officer, so that he can monitor the moves.

There are no fixtures the following Saturday 23rd December 2017.
There are fixtures for First Teams only, on Saturday 30th December 2017.

A full League programme will resume on Saturday 6th January 2018."
