Heys Reserves twice came from behind to defeat Walshaw Reserves 4-2 at Adie Moran Park today.
The win maintained their eight point lead at the top of the table, keeping them on course for a second successive title.
Walshaw took the lead but were pegged back when Ryan Cain slotted home from the penalty spot after Steve Charles had been upended.
However, the visitors responded to take the lead for a second time, an advantage they carried into the interval.
Heys were quick out of the blocks in the second half though and Charles levelled matters almost immediately.
Lewis Bond then went through to put his side ahead for the first time and it was a lead they were not to relinquish.
The victory was sealed when Pete Hickford popped up at the back post to head home the fourth.
Matt Jolly's side have six games left to play and are eight points clear of Stockport Georgians but have played a game more.
Heys next game is on Thursday night at Elton Vale, 6.45pm
