With today's game postponed here are the Heys manager's notes from the unpublished match programme.

These are exciting times for the club as we bid for the North West Counties League. However, we need everyone involved with the club to get on board and give us a massive push to get everything ready for the end of March.

Welcome back to Adie Moran Park for today’s game with Springhead.

We go into the game on the back of seven successive wins, the latest being against Elton Vale last Saturday.

For a long time I thought it was going to be one of those days with a missed penalty, the crossbar and some good saves by the Vale ‘keeper denying us.

We had 4/5 great chances in that 1ST half, but at the same time were grateful to Rob Sadler who made a couple of quality saves to keep us level at the interval. In the second half we dominated and once we scored it was a question of how many.

Sadz has been brilliant of late. Since he was dropped for Sam Modlinsky earlier in the season, he has worked really hard with goalkeeping coach Paul Hinchy to get back to the high standards he sets himself. His hard work is reaping dividends for him now both personally and of course for the team as a whole.

Our run of wins, which equals the club record in the Manchester Prem set by the 2006-7 title winning side, has given ourselves an outside chance of winning the league again. I’ve told the lads all we can do is keep winning and see where we are come the end of March.

Off the pitch, it’s good to see work starting on the new dressing rooms. These are exciting times for the club as we bid for the North West Counties League. However, we need everyone involved with the club to get on board and give us a massive push to get everything ready for the end of March.

If you are able to help in any form please come forward and help get us over the line.
