Matt Jolly appointed new boss

I want to thank Jeff for everything he's done for the club. I couldn't have asked for a better reserve team manager.

Jeff Kavanagh has stood down as Manager of Heys Reserves.

After three seasons at the helm, Kavanagh has called it a day due to increased work and family commitments but will continue to assist the club as and when he can.

He quits at the top, having overseen a superb season as his side swept to the Reserve Division Championship by an emphatic thirteen point margin, losing only game in the process.

Whilst in charge he also over saw the progression into the first team of young players like Danny Eyres, Liam Dunn, , Lewis Smith and Sam Modlinsky to name but a few.

Jon Lyons tonight paid tribute to his work saying " I want to thank Jeff for everything he's done for the club. I couldn't have asked for a better reserve team manager. He always put the needs of the first team before everything and still got results culminating in the deserved title success this season."

The Heys boss has moved fast to appoint a new Manager in Matt Jolly.

Matt is another Heys stalwart having enjoyed success at 1st team and Reserve team level over many years and this season has dovetailed between the two teams and will ensure that the club ethics embedded over the past three years continue.
