Heys emphatically won 5-0 to get back to winning ways after two successive defeats.
This win showed Heys have the qualities to get promoted.
A changed line up today including Ryan McGreevy who got the goal scoring going within two minutes.
A lovely pass by Matt Jolly meant McGreevy had an easy finish as he slid it past the ‘keeper for 1-0.
The next big moment in the game was a red card for Monton’s number five. He got his marching orders for abusive language towards the linesman. Monton weren’t even going to finish with ten.
Seven minutes after that Heys took advantage by Danny Eyres finishing coolly after great skilful build up play by Conor Landers.
On half time Heys finished the game with a third from Landers.
In a game which saw few chances for Monton, new ‘keeper Steve Dryden came up trumps for Heys saving an attempted cross in the 55th minute.
A few minutes later Heys made the score line more embarrassing with a goal from Eyres, his second. A goalkeeping mistake let him tap in from five yards.
The final goal came courtesy of George Powell from the penalty spot with Monton having another player sent off shortly after.
The win gives Heys confidence of promotion once again.
