Today marks the 78th anniversary of the meeting that led to Heys formation.
On 9th February 1938, Elgar Lumsden, the music master at Heys Road School for Boys, called a meeting about forming a group called the Heysians.
From that group emerged Heys Old Boys later to change it's name to Prestwich Heys.
