Firstly, I would like to give a Big thank you to Lee O’Brien, James Hampson, their coaching staff and players. I am obviously ⁠gutted to see the management team go but at the same time I totally understand their decision. ⁠99% of Managers & Players, at this level, would have walked in February after our meeting about the finance problems we faced. It just shows what a special close group Lee & James had built because everyone decided to stay and play for nothing. I honestly can’t thank them all enough because I am not sure where we would be or if we would have a club now.

⁠It’s been a roller coaster of a season, but as a whole it’s been a successful one on the pitch. Missing out on the play offs on goal difference was tough, but we attained a highest ever finish and points total for Heys at this level.

I would also like to ⁠thank Steve Howard for his support, doing a brilliant job since taking on the secretary role from February. Also, I must thank all the volunteers, who have rallied round doing all those little jobs that often go unseen and who give their time to ensure each Matchday runs smoothly. And talking of Matchday, thank you to all those who have supported us, Home and Away throughout the season. It doesn’t go unnoticed.

The season may have come to an end but there is a lot of work to be done going forward. Planning for next season and the future is already underway and I hope to be able to confirm our new Team Management in the coming days.
