Heys make the short trip to Radcliffe on Wednesday night for the first “derby” meeting of the season with Bury AFC.
After Saturday’s thumping 4-1 win over Charnock Richard, Lee O’Brien and James Hampson’s side will travel in good spirits as they look to continue their promising start to the season.
Heys have two wins and a defeat from their three League games and will be looking to keep in amongst the early pacesetters. A victory tomorrow would lift them above their hosts.
After their promotion last season, Bury have made the perfect start to life in the Premier Division, with maximum points from their three games with wins over Litherland, Padiham and Congleton.
Bury will have some familiar faces in their squad in Brad Sixsmith and Jack Coop whilst Rhain Halliwell, who played a couple of games at Heys last season before injury, joined them last week.
Previous meetings have gone one win each way but the personnel on show will be much changed from those matches.
Both sides will be ready for a competitive encounter and with both possessing players with the ability to turn a match their way it promises to be a cracker.
