The final game of the year and the Decade sees Heys travel to AFC Darwen on Saturday (3pm).
It's the second meeting of the season for the sides, who went head to head in the Macron Cup only last month, with goals from Adrian Bellamy and Rio Wilson-Heyes giving Heys a 2-1 win.
Much has changed since then and it will be a different looking Heys side that takes to the field at the Anchor Ground tomorrow under Matt Barnes.
The new Heys boss has been frustrated by the weather, seeing three games postponed, but saw his team pick up three points in his first game at the helm in winning 3-1 at Steeton last Saturday. The victory halted a three game losing run in the League and it is something Matt will be looking to build on. He has stated his aim is achieving promotion this season and knows his side will have to build on the weekend result and put a run together to push them back in amongst the leading pack.
Heys are presently nine points off the top four, with games on hand on all the sides but Ashton Town above them, and with the season reaching the midway point results over the next four or five games may well shape the direction for the remainder of the season.
Darwen go into the game in a rich vien of form and presently top the form table with five wins in their last six games. Leon Creech and Nyle Ellis have been amongst the goals as their side has scored eighteen times in the process.
It's a run that has allowed Darwen to overcome a slow start to the season to climb upto 8th in the table. They have a one point advantage on Heys at present but they have played three games more.
Both teams will be looking to dent the other's aspirations tomorrow.
