Heys welcome Daisy Hill to Adie Moran Park on Saturday in a re-arranged League fixture, (3pm).
Managers Jon Lyons and Matt Barnes will be looking for their side to bounce from last Saturday’s defeat at Holker Old Boys which ended a five-match winning run.
The loss saw Heys drop out of the promotion places, but they sit only three points outside the all-important top four.
However, although it is still tight at the top, some of the pre-season contenders are now starting to fire. AFC Liverpool hammered Steeton 8-0 and leaders Lower Breck won 6-0 away at Daisy Hill during the week to state their intentions.
Heys know that they too now need to put another run together to ensure they keep in touch with the pack heading into Christmas and the New Year.
They face a Daisy Hill side who made one of their strongest starts to a season for many years, putting themselves in the top four for several weeks.
Things have gone a bit awry for them more recently however, as they have lost their last five matches, conceding 24 goals in the process including that loss to Lower Breck.
However, Heys cannot afford to dwell to much on that. Holker went into their game with us last week on the back of a similar bad run but emerged victorious. The hosts also possess in Jamie Ramwell one of the Division’s most prolific scorers with 13 goals to his credit thus far.
An intriguing afternoon is in prospect with much at stake for both sides.
