Heys welcome Chadderton to Adie Moran Park on Friday night in the Hallmark Security League Division One (7.45pm) .
After a 9th placed finish last season, just two points and one place behind Heys, our visitors were hoping to push on this season in search of a promotion place.
However, thus far it has not quite gone to plan and Chadderton arrive in 16th place in the table with eleven points from eleven games.
The Oldham side lost several players in the Summer and a complete overhaul of their pitch meant that the first eight games had to be played away.
Mark “Tank” Howard was replaced last week by new Manager David Fish who took charge for the first time for the defeat at St Helens last weekend.
He will be tasked with hauling his side up the table. The margins have been close in all their matches thus far and so with the players at his disposal will be looking to start to turn things around on Friday night.
Heys come into the game in good spirits on the back of last weekend’s win at Alsager which made it five games unbeaten. It’s a run that has lifted Heys to second in the table, their highest position since their return to the League. They will be hoping to consolidate that position this Friday evening.
