Heys are in Cup action this weekend when they travel to Staffordshire to face Stone Old Alleynians in the The PlayerMatch.com 1st Division Cup 2nd Round (3pm).

Jon Lyons’s team received a bye in the opening round and will travel to the 1st Division South side expecting a tough challenge.

Having finished third in the table last season, their first in the league, Stone are going well again. They sit fourth in the table, with 23 points from eleven games, having won seven of those and lost just two

Averaging two goals a game, David Ablewhite and Jack Tomlinson have proved potent each with six goals to their credit.

After a three match losing streak, Heys arrested their slump with a penalty shoot out win at Premier Division Padiham in midweek in the Lancashire Challenge Trophy. The clean sheet, after a couple of heavy defeats was equally satisfying and the win will give something for Heys to build on as they enter a competition they won in 2018.

Heys will be running a coach to Saturday's match. Travelling with the team, the cost will be £15. The Coach will be leaving at Noon.

Directions: From Junction 15 (M6), take A34 towards Stone. As you approach Stone, you will go over a roundabout with a petrol station on the left. Continue on A34 through a set of traffic lights. After approx 200 yards turn right at the Wayfarer Pub, on your right hand side and continue up Yarnfield Lane for approx. 2 miles, over the motorway bridge, to the ground on your left.
