Heys v Nelson Preview

Heys welcome Nelson to Adie Moran Park on Tuesday night in their first home League game of the season, kick off 7.45pm.

After Saturday's opening day defeat at Golcar, Heys will be looking to get their season up and running against the Admirals.

Nelson opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Atherton LR on Saturday.

Last season the teams met three times. A 1-1 League draw at Adie Moran Park was followed by a 2-1 home success for Nelson in the Macron Cup 3rd round in February.

Heys claimed the honours though when the teams met in the League at Little Wembley, running out 5-1 winners.

Home fans may spot a familiar face in the Nelson line up in Greg Wills, who joined them in the summer. Greg was a popular figure at Adie Moran Park, being a part of our treble winning squad, making 106 appearances and scoring 17 goals in his time at the club.
