League Leaders heading to Adie Moran Park

Heys welcome League leaders Lower Breck to Adie Moran Park on Saturday in a League match that even at this early stage of the season looks of high significance. (3pm kick off)

The Liverpool side, whose home ground is in the shadow of Anfield, have made a superb start to the season collecting 22 points from their opening nine games, in which they have scored 33 goals.

On Thursday night they came from 2-0 down to defeat highly fancied Ashton Town 4-3 and in doing so opened up a five point lead at the top of the table.

Heys were beaten in their last League outing at AFC Blackpool, thus ending a five match unbeaten run. They will be wary of losing further ground on the Merseysiders - whom they trail by nine points with a game in hand - even at this early stage.

Whilst one of the four promotion spots is the target there is danger when one side breaks away, as was demonstrated by Silsden a couple of seasons back, who had virtually sealed one of the promotion slots by Xmas.

Heys will be looking to rein the Leaders back in and enhance their current position in the table and longer term prospects on what seems set for a thrilling afternoon at Adie Moran Park.
