Heys take a break from the League on Saturday as they turn to their attention the FA Vase and a 1st Qualifying Round home tie with Premier Division 1874 Northwich.

Jon Lyons’ side enjoyed a good run in last season’s competition progressing through four rounds before losing 1-0 in a replay to Northwich Victoria.

1874 was formed as recently as November 2012 when disillusioned members of the then Northwich Victoria Supporters Trust - who were disillusioned over the way that ‘their’ club had been run by several successive regimes - voted overwhelmingly to form a new fans-run club.

They themselves enjoyed a good run in the Vase in the 2017/18 season reaching the semi-finals before losing to eventual winners Thatcham Town.

This season 1874 have made a strong start, sitting third in the Premier Division, with four wins from five whilst progressing through two rounds of the FA Cup.

After losing their opening two games, Heys have climbed up to fourth in the Division One Table on the back of a five-game unbeaten run.

A tight contest looks on the cards.
