The centre-half originally joined Heys two years ago from Silsden and his consistent performances across all the defensive line made him a popular figure amongst the Heys faithful.

However, things didn’t go according to plan last season and Danny lost his place in the team and left to play at Barnoldswick.

However, Danny has returned to Heys for the coming season saying “Its like coming home”

Danny added “ It’s good to be back and hopefully we can have a successful season”.

With four automatic promotion places up for grabs, competition is bound to be fierce at the top but Danny believes that after narrowly missing out in previous seasons Heys must take the chance this time around saying “ Without a doubt our aim this season has to be promotion“
