Heys welcome Alsager to Adie Moran Park for another key top of the table clash.
The Staffordshire side are seventh in the table, six points behind Heys, but having played a game more.
They started the season strongly but since mid-November have struggled for consistency. However, they picked up a very good point in a 1-1 draw at another of the promotion chasers Whitchurch last weekend.
A 4-0 home defeat to Cammell Laird on Tuesday night in the LWC Cup perhaps underlined their inconsistency but past matches show what a dangerous side they can be. Alsager won here 2-1 last season and they possess undoubted talent most notably in the hugely experienced Michael Lennon.
Heys will be hoping to maintain their present run of seven games unbeaten against a side they defeat 3-2 at Alsager back in October. A last minute Jamie Baguley goal gave Heys the points after they had let slip a 2-0 lead.
Heys are in good form. That unbeaten run includes six League games which have yielded 14 points. This is the second game of three against teams in the promotion race and they know there is no margin for error. Three points, whilst not proving decisive with so much football still to play, will be a huge boost to those promotion ambitions.
