Heys welcome Bacup Borough to Adie Moran Park for their final fixture of 2017.
The teams have met previously this season when Heys won 3-1 here in the LWC Drinks Cup 1st round at the end of October.
Heys were in the midst of an eleven-match unbeaten run at the time but have had a more difficult time of it since. They suffered four successive losses through November and early December but have shown signs of rediscovering their earlier form in their last two games.
The long trips to Holker and Carlisle brought a four-point return from a 1-1 draw and 3-0 win respectively.
Jon Lyons’ team were frustrated by the weather on Boxing Day but remain in the thick of the promotion battle.
Bacup scored first in that LWC Cup tie against Heys but remarkably have played only five times since. They did beat the weather on Boxing Day but lost out to a resurgent Nelson, losing 3-0 at home. However, their League position of 15th place is not a reflection of their season, they have played between four and six games less than most teams and in Matthew Bryan they possess a player in a rich vein of form having scored five goals in his last five games, including against Heys in that LWC Cup tie.
