Heys return to League action this Saturday as they welcome St Helens to Adie Moran Park.
It will be the third meeting of the season between the clubs with Heys having won the two previous encounters.
A 2-0 win at Ruskin Drive in the League back in September was followed by a 4-0 Macron Cup win at Adie Moran Park last month.
Heys will be looking to get back to winning ways after seeing their eleven-match unbeaten run ended by Charnock Richard, in the Lancashire Trophy, in midweek.
Nonetheless, they remain unbeaten in their last nine League games having scored 35 goals in that run, a sequence they will be looking to maintain ahead of Tuesday’s home game with leaders Silsden.
It’s been a stop start season for St. Helens. After failing to win in their first seven games, a run of four wins in six games in September promised better things. However, they are now without a win in their last seven games, six of which have been lost. It should be noted that, other than the Macron Cup defeat to Heys, all those defeats have been by the odd goal.
They will be hoping those fine margins can turn in their favour on Saturday.
