Sandbach came sixth last year but were knocked out in the play off semi-finals. However, they are on course for another tilt at making the step up, presently sitting 5th in the table with 25 points from 14 games.

After collecting only point from their first three games they have been steadily consistent since then with some eye catching wins, such as 7-1 and 6-1 home wins over Bacup and Oswestry respectively. In Ryan Brooke (10 goals) and James Kirby (9) they possess two of the top scorers in the division.

The hosts will be anxious to make up ground on Heys. They are nine points behind them, with a game in hand and will not want, even at this early stage, to see that gap get bigger.

Conversely, Heys will be all too aware of the opportunity to widen the gap and keep the pressure on leaders Silsden. They approach the game in fine form, unbeaten in ten games, nine of which have been won.

Having been named October's 1st Divsion club of the month Heys will be looking to ensure that form continues and the curse of the monthy award is dispelled.
