Rochdale Sacred Heart to put 100% record to the test

Heys Reserves flying start to the season will receive it's biggest test yet on Saturday when they face reigning Champions Rochdale Sacred Heart Reserves at Adie Moran Park, 2pm.

Jeff Kavangh's (pictured) side have swept all before them this season, thus far, winning all five of their games, scoring 23 goals in the process.

Having beaten one of the other early pacesetters AVRO last weekend, they now face another stiff and infact the ultimate challenge against a side that won the League last season.

Rochdale have also started the season impressively and are also unbeaten with ten points from four games. Their dropped points came in a 4-4 draw at Elton Vale.

Last season Heys fared well against Hearts in the League, collecting four points from a 3-2 home win and 1-1 away draw. However, Rochdale did win at Heys 4-2 in the Open Trophy.

That will count for nothing however come Saturday, but even at this early stage the outcome could have some significance. A Heys win would surely underline their ability to challenge for the title and give them at least a six point lead at the top of the table.

Rochdale will be eager to reign them in and all told a cracker of game is on the cards. Admission to the game is FREE.
