Heys and Uppermill try again on Saturday, this time at Adie Moran Park

Heys Reserves will try for a third time to play their Open Trophy 2nd round with Uppermill on Saturday.

With the game having been postponed twice already the game has been switched, under competition rules, to Adie Moran Park,(1.30pm.)

The Oldham side compete in Division 3 of the Manchester League, one below Heys, and are presently fourth from bottom with 13 points from 12 games.

After a difficult season they go into the game on the back of successive wins. A 3-0 win at Boothstown in their last outing coming on the back of a 4-1 win at Wilmslow in the Open Trophy. Indeed their away form has been better than their home form where they have recorded only one win this season.

Heys reached the 2nd round stage on the back of a thrilling 4-3 extra time success at Royton Town and will be looking to make it to the last eight as they seek a League and Cup double.

Manager Jeff Kavanagh will doubtless be concerned about some rustiness in his players who have only played once in the last two months, that being a 1-1 draw against Springhead a fortnight ago.

Extra time and penalties will be used of needed to decide the game on the day.
