2nd placed Manchester Gregorians visit Adie Moran Park

The finish line is in sight - come and get behind Jeff and the boys and push them closer to that title.

It’s 1st v 2nd at Adie Moran Park on Saturday as Heys Reserves host Manchester Gregorians Reserves (2pm.)

Gregs are the form team in the competition at the moment being unbeaten in their last six games.

It’s a run that has taken them to second place but with only two games remaining unless Heys and Wythenshawe Amateurs collapse their hopes of landing the title look slim to say the least.

Nonetheless, with 6-1 wins over AVRO and Springhead in their last two outings Gregs will arrive with no shortage of confidence.

Heys stand three wins short of the title and have led the way for much of the season. Recent performances have been a little patchy but Jeff Kavanagh’s side have kept picking up the results.

They can be under no illusions about the challenge they face on Saturday. When the teams met just prior to Xmas they produced a high quality treat, sharing the points in a 3-3 draw.

Focus will be important with so much else going on around the ground and MP and Club Patron Ivan Lewis attending the game.

The finish line is in sight - come and get behind Jeff and the boys and push them closer to that title.
